The Reception

The reception was also held at the Pavilions, in fact in the adjacent room.

The afternoon was a generally calm affair before the evening kicked off with the arrival of the band "The Casablanca Boys" and, following a brief warm up, the first dance; to Paul Weller's "You do something to me".

The band were fantastic, and we're really grateful for them for playing at relatively short notice.  For those who weren't aware about 3 weeks before the wedding we had the week from hell.  The band who were supposed to play during the afternoon pulled out, the car and washing machine broke down, before finally the roof started leaking.  It seems quite farcical now but was much less amusing at the time.

The Boys

The formal photos went through most permutations and combinations.

The happy couple

..and they seemed to take their toll.

Before we could relax fully.

Best Mates

The Southerners

..and Cambridge.

Every thing turned out perfectly.  Even the cloudy weather which had been threatened never arrived.

Eventually the cake was cut.  A feat of organisation in itself; being made in Cambridge and Halifax, iced in Halifax, with the couple coming from Oxford.

Friends from work were also there.
